Institute for Independent Business.

The Institute for Independent Business (IIB) is a not-for-profit research, training and accreditation organisation, established in 1984 to support independent businesses in Britain.  To this end, in 1991, the Institute created the Consultancy Business Development Programme thus enabling its graduates to start and build their own successful consultancy practices by providing their specialist skills to meet the needs of independent businesses. Since 1995, the IIB expanded internationally and its associates, operating in over 40 countries, have been supporting independent businesses around the globe.

Execworks Management Services offers support services to business owners through IIB Accredited Executive Associates performing under the IIB's Code of Ethics.

IIB Business Support Programme.

The Institute developed the IIB Business Support Programme (BSP) specifically to meet the needs of independent small to medium-sized enterprises. The type and level of support needed within the programme is customised to meet the requirements and objectives of each individual business. The IIB's support programme is based on a proven model from which countless businesses across the world have benefited.

Under a typical BSP, Execworks will ensure that an IIB Executive Associate shall:

• Plan and coordinate with the business owner the use of the company's allotted monthly hours of 'hands-on' practical support over a period of 12 months;
• By drawing on the vast business resources of the Institute, address any business query the company may have;
• Attend the company's board / strategy planning meetings to ensure that the company is adequately supported and progressing to plan;
• Be available at all reasonable times on a local 'hot line' number - just to talk through whatever is on the business owner's mind;

In return, the company is only required to make a nominal monthly contribution which most SME's find very affordable, in particular considering the potential large rewards.
